Right Angle Home & Outdoors removed and replaced the existing deck and substructure at a home in Katy, Texas, and rebuilt the deck in Trex composite decking in Saddle Brown.
Read the case studyCompleted work from Right Angle Home & Outdoors, documented with the scope, materials and layout decisions behind each build. We add projects here as they finish.
Everything on this page is work we actually did, described no more precisely than we can support. Where our record of a project is limited to a portfolio entry or a customer's own account of it, it appears as a project note rather than a full case study. Current photos and homeowner feedback also live on our profile — see Right Angle Home & Outdoors on Google.
Shorter records of completed work. Each note states its source, and nothing beyond that source is claimed — no invented neighbourhoods, dimensions, dates or costs.
Pavers — commercialHouston Heights
A commercial paver project in the Heights. Paver work in this part of town is usually decided by two things before pattern or colour ever come up: how water leaves the surface, and how the base is built under it. Getting the fall right and compacting a proper base is what keeps joints tight and edges from creeping on Houston clay.

Landscaping — residentialMemorial, Houston
Residential landscaping in Memorial. On the Memorial side of town the grade and the tree canopy tend to set the plan: where water already wants to go, and which roots you are not going to disturb. Planting and irrigation get laid out around those two facts rather than against them.

Pavers — residentialWest University Place
A residential paver installation in West University. On compact West U lots the paved area is a meaningful share of the whole yard, so surface drainage and the edge condition against lawn, drive and house carry more weight than they do on a larger lot.

Greater Houston
The play area of a family backyard was converted to turf in autumn 2024, and the homeowner reported the work being completed in under a week. Turf lives or dies on what is underneath it: base preparation and a route for water to leave, so the surface stays firm and drains after Houston rain rather than holding it.

Greater Houston
A custom pergola where both principals — Omar Afra and Pedro Salazar — stayed directly involved from the first conversation through installation, with the homeowner noting step-by-step communication and that the finished structure matched what had been discussed. That level of contact is the point of a two-principal shop: the person who set the design is the person answering the phone during the build.

Greater Houston
Pedro Salazar helped the homeowner select patio tile and added a gravel-and-brick spot for parking, coordinating crews on site through the work. Small additions like a gravel-and-brick pad are worth doing properly: a defined edge and a compacted base are what stop loose material migrating into the lawn after a season of rain.
